How is my post's location chosen?

When you post, a location picker lets you set the area your message relates to. You can use your position (GPS) or choose a town.

This location is used to show your post to neighbours in the right area. It's deliberately approximate: the Community shows the town and postcode, never your exact address.

For your safety, never put your precise address in the text of a public post. If you need to share a meeting spot, do it privately through chat.

You can learn more about how your location data is handled in our privacy policy.
