Safe Buying Guide

On AllEasyWay, buying something close to home or on the other side of the world should feel simple and stress-free. The vast majority of exchanges go perfectly well, but a few good habits are enough to rule out the rare bad surprise. This guide gathers concrete advice to help you spot a good seller, ask the right questions, inspect an item, meet safely, and pay with peace of mind.

Spotting a trustworthy seller

Before you even message a seller, take a minute to look at their profile and their listing. Several signals speak for themselves.

  • The "verified account" badge: a seller whose identity has been verified inspires more confidence.
  • The photos: sharp, plentiful, taken from several angles and in natural light. Be wary of images that were clearly lifted from the internet.
  • The Reels: these short vertical videos show the item in action — an engine running, a piece of furniture from every side, a garment being worn. A genuine video is far harder to fake than a single photo.
  • The seller's other listings and followers: a consistent history and a community that follows them are good signs.
  • The description: complete, honest about flaws, with brand, model, dimensions, condition, and reason for selling.
  • Responsiveness in the chat: a serious seller answers your questions clearly, without dodging.
Tip: all your conversations go through AllEasyWay's private messaging. Keep your exchanges there — you keep a record, and you can report or block in a single tap if needed.

The right questions to ask

A good seller has nothing to hide. Ask your questions in the chat before you travel:

  1. Why are you selling this item, and how long have you had it?
  2. Does it have any flaws, scratches, missing or repaired parts?
  3. Do you have the original invoice, the box, the accessories, or the warranty certificate?
  4. For a device: does it work perfectly? Can you show it powering on in a video?
  5. Where and when can we meet for the handover?
  6. Is the price negotiable, and what exactly does it include?

Feel free to ask for an extra photo or a short video taken on the spot. An honest seller will gladly agree; a flat refusal is a signal to take seriously.

Inspecting the item properly

Everyday items (electronics, fashion, home)

Check the real condition in good light, test the essential functions (power, screen, buttons, zippers), compare the serial number with the one advertised, and make sure the contents match the description.

Vehicles and high-value purchases

Take the time for a proper inspection: bodywork, tyres, fluid levels, cold start, a test drive. Ask for the documents (registration, service book, technical inspection) and check that they match both the seller and the vehicle. If in doubt, bring along someone who knows the subject.

Real estate

Always visit the property in person before any commitment. Never pay a deposit to "reserve" a home you haven't visited, especially from a distance.

Meeting safely

The meeting is the key moment of a successful purchase.

  • Choose a public, busy place: a shopping centre, a café, a supermarket car park.
  • Prefer daytime and daylight.
  • Come with someone, especially for a valuable item, and tell a friend or relative where and when.
  • For a vehicle, test drive in an area you know and keep your documents on you.
  • Inspect and test the item before handing over any payment.
  • If something makes you uncomfortable, you always have the right to walk away. No purchase is worth your safety.

Paying wisely

The golden rule: pay at the moment of handover, once you have seen and checked the item.

Do thisAvoid this
Pay in person, at the handoverWiring money in advance to a stranger
A traceable payment methodGift cards, cryptocurrency, money orders to a stranger
A price in line with the marketAn offer "too good to be true"
Take your timeGiving in to pressure or urgency
  • Never pay a deposit for something you haven't seen, and never share your banking codes, passwords, or codes received by SMS.
  • Every listing shows the price in the seller's local currency: double-check the currency before talking money.
  • A price far below the market often hides a trap. Trust your common sense.

Recognising scams — red flags

A few patterns come up again and again. Be careful if:

  • Someone pressures you to close "right now" or invents an urgency.
  • Someone refuses any meeting and insists on prepaid shipping.
  • Someone asks you to pay off the platform, through an unusual method.
  • Someone offers to "overpay" and then refund you the difference.
  • Someone sends a link or email imitating AllEasyWay to "validate the payment".
  • The spelling, the photos, or the story don't add up.
When in doubt, slow down. A scammer relies on speed and emotion; taking the time to check is often enough to put them off.

Reporting or blocking a user

AllEasyWay combines human and automated moderation, and every new ad is reviewed. You can act too:

  • Report: from a listing or a profile, use the "Report" option to alert our moderation team. Describe the situation in a few words.
  • Block: from the profile or the conversation, the "Block" option cuts off all contact both ways.

Reporting suspicious behaviour also protects the rest of the community. For any question, the Help Center is there for you.
