There are two options: Spotlight and Premium. Both push your ad higher in results and across the pages buyers browse.
Featuring is completely optional. Posting an ad is always free, so you can sell without ever paying. Featuring just speeds things up and increases visibility when you're keen to sell.
You stay in full control of your ad at all times: you can edit, pause or delete it even while it's featured.
